Given the blue screen of death, recovering your system is a bit tricky, but I'm here to guide you through it. The Windows Media Creation Tool is indeed an essential tool for creating a bootable Windows 10 USB drive. Although Microsoft does provide the ISO file for download, the Media Creation Tool is what you need in this situation.
The Windows Media Creation Tool for Windows 10 is still available, but it might not be directly accessible from the Windows 10 ISO download page. Instead, follow these steps to get hold of it:
- Find the download link for the Media Creation Tool: Click on the 'Create Windows 10 installation media' link. This should redirect you to a specific tool download page or a webpage that describes the process to create the media creation tool.
- Download the Media Creation Tool: If your computer can no longer boot, you'll need another machine to download the tool. On that working Windows machine, download the Windows Media Creation Tool executable file (it should be named something like 'MediaCreationTool.exe').
- Use a working computer to create the bootable USB: Insert a USB drive with at least 8GB of free space into the working computer. Run the Media Creation Tool on the working PC, select the USB drive as the media type, and let the tool create the bootable installation media.
