With the original Windows installation no longer booting, the laptop needs a usable Windows 7 Professional 64-bit ISO before the operating system can be installed again. Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool is intended for creating bootable installation media from an ISO you already have, which makes it relevant after obtaining a legitimate Windows 7 professional download offline installer for the ThinkPad.

The tool can prepare either a USB drive or DVD from the Windows ISO, allowing the computer to start the installation without relying on the damaged system. It is important to note that it does not download Windows 7 itself. Microsoft has ended Windows 7 support, so finding an official Windows 7 professional download offline installer through Microsoft's former public download pages is no longer generally possible.

Main Features

  1. Creates bootable USB media from an ISO.
  2. Supports installation DVDs.
  3. Works without the existing Windows installation.
  4. Suitable for offline OS installation.
  5. Simple interface for preparing installation media.

Disadvantages

  • ISO not included.
  • No longer maintained.
  • Designed for older Windows releases.
