When I click already opened apps their windows don't show
When you click a "dot-marked app/opened app" on the dock, it only changes the menubar to the one of the clicked app but the app window doesn't show.
This has happened multiples times for multiples apps. Is this normal macos behavior? Thanks

Sometimes app preferences can cause display issues. Locate the app’s preference files in ~/Library/Preferences and consider deleting them (make a backup first).
Go to System Preferences > Users & Groups.
Click the lock and authenticate.
Click the "+" button to add a new user.
Log into the new account and see if the issue persists.
If a window is minimized to the Dock, clicking the app's icon often won't un-minimize it. You usually need to click the minimized window itself or double-click the Dock icon.
