When did the to-do list in Windows 10 get so long?

I was just browsing through Task Manager and noticed that a lot of apps were set to start automatically at boot—I had completely forgotten they even existed. I have absolutely no idea when half of them were quietly added.

It took me two minutes to disable those unnecessary programs, and sure enough, when I logged back in, my computer felt noticeably faster. I thought I’d mention this in case anyone else hasn’t checked their Task Manager in a while—it’s worth taking a look.

if you don't know what a program is, a quick web search can usually tell you. And remember, disabling a startup item does not uninstall the program.
