Watching streamers with 2k resolution enabled makes my PC lag

So, some of my favorite streamers have been using this feature that lets them stream in 2k resolution. But whenever I watch them, my pc tends to lag especially when playing games.

I can't even watch them at 2k because of location restriction. And lag still happens even when watching at lower resolutions. This doesn't happen when watching streams that haven't enabled this feature.

Idk if there's anything I can do to resolve this, or my pc is just too potato.

Hoping anyone can help me with this!🙏

My pc specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 1200 GPU: AMD RX 570 (8gb) RAM: 8gb OS: Windows 10

Open the stream, right-click the video, and look for Stats for Nerds / video stats, depending on the site. Check the codec if available. If you see AV1, VP9, or anything other than normal H.264, your CPU may be doing too much of the work.

In your browser, try toggling hardware acceleration:

    Chrome / Edge:

Settings > System > Use graphics acceleration when available

Turn it on, restart the browser, and test. If it is already on and the lag remains, turn it off and test again. Some older AMD driver/browser combinations behave better one way than the other.

Also update your AMD graphics driver from AMD’s site,
