VPN interface user
hi, good day community, I am trying to deactivate the interface of the user of the VPN of Windows 10, this in order that the user cannot modify the VPN or remove it, my question is if it can be done from GPO or local policy?
I hope you can help me,
thanks
Hi jorgeglez
There is a local GPO you can set - I'm not near my lab to test a DC GPO.
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Control Panel > Settings Page Visibility.
User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Control Panel > Settings Page Visibility.
You need to type "hide:network-vpn" (with no quotes) - this stops the VPN setting from being accessable. My notes also mention setting "User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Network\Network Connections\Prohibit access to the New Connection Wizard" as this is an alternative way, but I honestly can't remember if I tested that - I think it's for Windows xp+
Hope this helps.
