I would like to upload a new custom extension to Microsoft store so I can make it available to the end users. I go to the link https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/users/signin/?redirect=/en-us/microsoft-edge/extensions/requests/

But I get the following error. Can anyone please help on how to create a Microsoft account.

AAD (Azure Active Directory) accounts are not supported at this time. You need to use a regular Microsoft account like the one you can create https://signup.live.com/.
