Updating from 24H2 to 25H2 with a local account possible?

I have watched several videos explaining how Microsoft has removed the possibility of using a local account in 25H2. Of course, there are also videos showing a workaround but these pertain to a fresh installation.

I would like to know if updating from 24H2 to 25H2 with a local account is possible without having to login afterwards with an MS account?

    An in-place upgrade (what you do through Windows Update or using the Windows 11 Installation Assistant) is a fundamentally different process. It is designed to preserve your existing system configuration, settings, user accounts, files, and applications. The upgrade engine does not trigger the full OOBE; it uses your current system's profile.
