Unable to connect to Network resources with new win 10 system

I have a new windows 10 pro system, cannot access Network resources but I can ping the server and all my printers show up but my share folders are not available. I have tried switching all the share connections on and or off, I have disabled the network card and uninstalled as I have read in several Q&A blogs and still no success. HELP I am not an IT specialist, but have never had issue in connecting a Win 8.1 system but this is driving me a little crazy, I have already spent several hours trying to figure this out to no avail.
