Trying to make a Windows 10 bootable usb from a mac
I've used boot camp assistant to flash the iso that was downloaded from the Microsoft 10 website. But keeps loading into bios instead of windows installation? Is it possible that making then usb from Mac is just incompatible. Thanks in advance

Turn off secure boot and switch to legacy boot mode in bios.

Create a Windows 10 virtual machine and use the media creation tool to make the bootable usb.

Use the terminal command along with wimlib to make a Windows 10 bootable usb.

This is pretty complicated and not suitable for beginners.

You can set up a virtual machine on your Mac—using software like Parallels Desktop then run Windows within it. Once inside Windows, use the official Media Creation Tool from Microsoft to create a bootable USB. This method ensures full compatibility and avoids common formatting issues that can occur when creating the USB directly on macOS.

This works but takes a lot of time.

Hello, 👋
No, you should not try to install windows on MAC.
Use a virtual machine... This will be better as MAC is hardcoded.
Otherwise, use Rufus to burn the VM ISO and then try again.
Still this option is better, use WINE or those Virtual Machine on your desktop.
Hope it helps,

Download Rufus standard version from official website. And download Windows 10 iso. Then you can bootable your pen drive.

Bootcamp can't split the install.wim file from Windows 10 ISO. It means the installation failed.
