Before trying to repair individual files, protect what is left. Copy the corrupted files and any still-working files to another drive, then work only on the copies. If the files were in OneDrive, check version history and the Recycle Bin because a clean earlier copy is better than a repaired damaged one. For the disk itself, run `chkdsk` only after backup, because disk repair can change file-system structures. For Office documents, try opening Word or Excel first, then use Open and Repair from the file open dialog. For family videos, keep the original corrupted file untouched and test whether the Photos app or Media Player can still read enough of it to save or export a playable copy.
