Troubleshooting: Unable to Import a .reg File into the Registry
Greetings everyone,
I am thrilled to share that, following my transition to Windows 10 last year, I have successfully imported a ".reg" file for the very first time. I recently accessed registry tweaks from the tutorials section and downloaded them in ".reg" format, although they displayed the typical Notepad icon.

Make sure you have admin permission to import the reg files.

That's fantastic! Importing a ".reg" file for the first time is a significant milestone, especially if you're exploring registry tweaks to customize or optimize your Windows 10 experience. The ".reg" files appearing with the Notepad icon is normal because Windows associates ".reg" files with Notepad by default, indicating they are registry script files ready to be imported.
