Trouble starting Windows firewall error 0x8007042c

Question

Recently, I encountered some issues with Windows, and it apparently removed the internet service from my PC. Fortunately, I was able to fix that. However, a new problem has emerged: Windows Firewall simply won't start and consistently returns error 0x8007042c.
I tried looking for solutions on Google, but none of them actually worked.

One of the suggestions was to start the firewall through the Windows Services panel, but when I try to do that, I get error code 1068.
