The input method indicator in the Windows 10 system tray appears blank
The input method indicator in the lower-right corner of the taskbar appears as a blank square. Clicking it does not bring up the input method selection menu, and the shortcut keys also fail to switch the input method. Restarting File Explorer temporarily resolves the issue, but it reoccurs after a while.

Check for Windows updates and install any pending updates, as they may include fixes for this issue.
