The date field does not display the day of the week, even though the option to show it is enabled.
After installing the system update, the date field in the lower-right corner of the taskbar only displays the month/day/year and does not show the day of the week. I have set the short date format to include the day of the week in Control Panel → Region → Additional Settings → Date, but the date display in the taskbar has not updated, and the day of the week is still not showing.

You added the weekday to the regional short-date format, but the Windows 10 taskbar still shows only the numeric date. Reopen Control Panel > Region > Additional settings > Date and confirm Short date contains ddd for an abbreviated weekday or dddd for the full name, for example ddd MM/dd/yyyy. Apply the change, then sign out and back in because Explorer may retain the previous format during the session. Make sure the taskbar is tall enough and small taskbar buttons are not forcing a compact clock layout. You can also restart Windows Explorer from Task Manager. The Short date is a system-wide regional setting, so changing it can affect File Explorer and applications, not only the taskbar. If the format saves correctly but remains ignored, record the Windows build and submit the behavior through Feedback Hub. Windows 10 has no separate supported weekday-only taskbar toggle that overrides the regional format.
