The Clock That Ticks Backward Through Time
My system clock doesn't just show the wrong time—it actually counts downward. I watch it go from 3:00 PM to 2:59, 2:58, and so on.

That backward ticking is a weird one, I saw it once and it traced back to a tweaking utility messing with the system timer. First thing i will do is close anything that touches performance or overclocking (MSI Afterburner, RGB suites, any "PC booster" tool) and watch if the clock settles. Then resync it properly: right-click the clock, Adjust date/time, turn Set Time automatically off and back on , and hit Sync now.
If it still drifts backward after that, your CMOS battery on the motherboard is likely dying, so the system can't hold time correctly and a cheap CR2032 swap usually sorts it. Worth running a quick malware scan too, since a few nasties deliberately mess with the clock to break license checks.
