The battery life estimate was 100% accurate and never jumped up or down randomly
I'm posting because I'm actually having the opposite of a problem, and I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this. On my Windows 10 laptop, the battery life estimate has been absolutely rock-solid, showing a steady and accurate percentage that never jumps up or down randomly, even when I'm running heavy applications or switching between power modes, which seems almost too good to be true based on what I've read from other users. I'm used to seeing the estimate fluctuate wildly like it does on my old machine, but this one stays consistent and reliable, and I'm curious if this is normal behavior for newer Windows 10 updates or if I just got lucky with my hardware.

The main reason is just how the estimate works. Windows doesn't guess the remaining time based on a single, fixed number. Instead, it's a dynamic calculation that looks at your current rate of power consumption. So, if you're running a heavy application, it'll show less time; if you stop, the estimate will go back up. Your stable estimate likely means you're doing tasks with a fairly consistent power draw.
keep in mind that the estimate can still become inaccurate if you let the battery drain completely to zero or keep it plugged in at 100% for weeks at a time.
