Synchronizing Audio and Video in native Windows Camera files

I have a common problem with audio being out of sync with the image, recording from my webcam using Camera. In my case it seems it was caused by the time it takes for the webcam to activate between when the software receives the buttonclick and the hardware starts recording. In other software it is possible to implement a 'delay before capture' to 2 seconds or so and it seems to fix the problem.
