Strange display color problem when switching users
Windows 10 Pro 22H2 system with 2 different users.
It’s more of a minor annoyance than a real nuisance, but if I switch from the logged in user to the other user, and then switch back to the original user, the gray background color changes slightly.
And, like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words so here they are.
Here’s the display I get if I login with either user 1 or user 2.
If I then switch to the “other user“, it still appears exactly the same as above!
However, if I then switch back to the original user, it looks like this.
Notice how the gray is a completely different shade.

Yes i’ve seen that happen before when switching users on win10. it’s usually tied to color profile or gpu gamma reset between sessions. sometimes windows doesn’t reapply the original icc profile correctly after switching back. you can try going into color management → devices → check “use my settings for this device” and re-set your default profile manually.
Also worth checking if your gpu control panel (nvidia/amd/intel) has per-user color adjustments enabled, disabling those can stop the tint shift.
