Spotify playlist download to mp3 that still works in 2026?
I prefer managing my music playlists via the command line. I use Savify, an open-source tool that downloads audio while preserving metadata such as track titles and artist names. The tool supports playlists and can generate MP3 files at up to 320 kbps.
How to Use a Spotify Playlist Downloader
1. Install the software using the following command.
pip install savify
2. Prepare a playlist that you have permission to download.
3. Copy the playlist’s URL from your music app.
4. Open a terminal in the folder where you want to save the files.
5. Run the playlist command using the URL of the playlist you have authorized.
savify -p “https://open.spotify.com/playlist/...” -o output_folder
6. Wait for the software to process the selected playlist.
7. Check the output folder to see if the audio and metadata have been downloaded.
If you're comparing Spotify playlist download, please note that the software sources its audio from other platforms, so availability and sound quality may vary.
Most importantly, make sure you only download content if you have the necessary rights or permissions.
