Sign-in PIN not available
Hello.
I hope someone here can help me as I can find no way of directly contacting Windows directly.
I use the Opera web browser which has a password manager for saving passwords to all the sites I visit. When I want to remind myself of a password, I could select it from the list, input my laptop's own password from the Windows security options that would pop up, and the saved passwords would be revealed to me. However now, the only option that shows up is one asking for a PIN, which I never set up. The other options there used to be have disappeared for no clear reason.
When I try to set up a PIN following the guidance it provides (Settings -> Accounts -> Sign-in Options), it tells me the PIN option is "currently unavailable". I click the link which claims can fix it, but idiotically it still asks me for a PIN, which I repeat, I never set up. Thus I am stuck in a cycle of uselessness, and unable to access any of my saved passwords within the browser due to this unnecessary hindrance.
I would like to know:
a) Why did the other options for checking browser passwords disappear?
b) How can I get them back?
This seems to be a problem with Windows and not the browser.
Thank you.

Try a simple restart first. If it doesn’t work, boot into Safe Mode.

So, our friend here has a problem. They use Opera, which, by the way, is a great browser. I mean, it's like the hipster of browsers – "I had tabs before they were cool." Anyway, they've got a password manager, which is a great idea, because let's face it, who can remember all those passwords? It's like trying to recall every single wi-fi network you've ever connected to

It is mostly a network issue. Please restart the router and computer first!
