Shorten path for "Documents"

Win7 Pro to Win10 Home. Pro offers no real advantages to us.

Does the problem happen on new PCs or the ones you in-place upgraded?
if Pro edition has no advantage for you, you can use Home instead.
I don't know what configurations you made in Windows 7 that caused this issue, whether or not you moved personal folders such as documents, downloads etc. to a different drive prior to upgrade.
But you can back up your user data to a different drive, delete your user account and recreate it, this might fix the issue.
