Setup Problems with Windows 10 Nokia Phone
I am also wondering just how deeply the non support will affect this phone, will I be able to communicate with others through email and messaging? I remember when the windows XP OS was abandoned, but I know of people who are using it successfully to this day! So is the situation similar with this phone as well?

You'll still be able to use the phone for basic communication ( calls, SMS, even email if the mail app keeps working ) but over time things will get more limited. The big difference from XP is that many modern app and services rely on security updates, certificates, and APIs that eventually stop working on unsupported phones.

If you're using standard email apps (like Outlook, Gmail) and messaging platforms (WhatsApp, Messenger, etc.) that operate over the internet, you will likely still be able to send and receive messages as long as the apps and websites continue to support your device and browser. However, security updates and patches will no longer be provided, which could expose you to vulnerabilities over time.
