Setting File Explorer Default
PC / Windows 10 -
C:\ is operating system
D:\ (partition) is my file system
Attempting to set File Explorer default so it always shows D:\ files;
Presently, Windows offers only "Quick Access" or whatever it's called or "My PC" default settings (typical limited MS thinking) and there seems to be no option to designate a different default -- such as a drive partition as is my case.
How to get there?
Thank you -- help appreciated.
- Reza_AmeriSilver ContributorWould you mind clarify your question.
Do you want to like to make the 😧 drive as default location to save files?
You may open Settings and navigate to System->Storage and then click on "Change where new content is saved" and customize it.- PilgrimHikerCopper ContributorApparently you don't understand what I've already written, so I shall repeat:
1. D:\ is my hard drive partition where my files are stored;
2. My question is not about how to make D:\ the default location for saving files; it already is, so your answer information is beside the point;
3. Here, merely repeating what I had written previously:
". . . how to set File Explorer default so it always shows D:\ files;
Presently, Windows offers only "Quick Access" or whatever it's called or "My PC" default settings (typical limited MS thinking) and there seems to be no option to designate a different default -- such as a drive partition as is my case."
If you had clearly read my initial post, you would see that the question is not about D;\ (which you addressed), but about File Explorer.
Fortunately, I have already learned the solution to my issue -- so we shall consider this matter closed.
Thank you.- Reza_AmeriSilver ContributorFor the benefit of the community, please share your solution.
