For Windows 7, I would be very careful about where the ISO comes from because altered installation media is a real risk. The safest source is original Microsoft media that matches your license: the DVD that came with the PC, recovery media from the PC manufacturer, or recovery media ordered for that exact ThinkPad model. Since your ThinkPad is failing after a new app install, try recovery first: boot into Advanced Boot Options with F8, use Last Known Good Configuration if available, or run System Restore from Windows Recovery. If you must reinstall, check the COA/product key and edition before wiping the disk. Also copy personal files from the drive first if they matter, because reinstalling Windows 7 can erase the existing installation.
