Remote Desktop

I'm trying to access my desktop from my laptop. I'm getting the following error:

"We couldn't connect to the remote PC because the PC can't be found. Please provide the fully-qualified name or the IP address of the remote PC, and then try again."

I tried the following:

  1. Turn on Network Discovery
  2. Allow Port 3389 in the Windows Defender Firewall
  3. Clear Custom DNS Servers

These did not work. Is there anything else that I can do to fix this issue?

    Hi aaaaa1530

    Please make sure the following:

    1. The laptop and desktop are configured with a unique name (hostname)
    2. They have a unique IP
    3. They are within the same workgroup or domain.
