This will be the very first question I will ask in the AMA. I hope you have a better answer than "we are working on it" ready for the thou...
- Nov 30, 2017This is a known issue. The fix for this will be included in the cumulative update that will be released today at 10am via http://catalog.update.microsoft.com (manually downloaded). It will also be included in the next Patch Tuesday cumulative update. (Ref OS #14207031, 11D)

We are continuing to work on it. A few points:
- The December update does not include a fix for this problem. We are hoping to have a fix in place by the end of January.
- The updated Asus firmware (1004) has addressed the issue for many people.
- There is a block in place that keeps Windows Update from offering Windows 10 1709 to affected systems. But if you go into Settings and manually check for updates, this bypasses the block because you are "seeking" the update.

Hi,
Any news about this issue?
This doesn't only appear on Asus machines. I Have an MSI X99 Mainboard and have the same isssue and according to what I've found on the internet, pretty much all X99 are impacted.

Hi,
for my understanding. Is it an issue for Microsoft or for the Motherboard Dealer? Don't get me wrong but I do not see any activities on MSI side. I do not see any intensive discussions concerning MS update with MSI x99 on MSI boards.
Regards
Michael
