Rare Battery Swelling on my Windows 10 computer
I am experiencing a rare but concerning issue with my Windows 10 laptop where the battery appears to be physically swelling, causing the trackpad or bottom casing to bulge noticeably. I would appreciate any guidance on whether this is a known safety hazard for my specific model and what steps I should take to properly dispose of the battery and prevent further damage.

Your priority should be safety. Do not plug the laptop in, as charging adds heat and stress. Move the device away from anything flammable—placing it on a fire-resistant surface like stone or tile, or even outdoors in a metal container like a bucket with sand or cat litter, is recommended.

Do not apply pressure to the bulging area. Avoid puncturing, crushing, or bending the battery in any way, as this is dangerous.
