Printer spooler service preventing sleep mode

My Windows PC will not enter sleep mode automatically, and I have traced the issue to the printer spooler service, which seems to be constantly running and preventing the system from sleeping. Even when no print jobs are pending and the printer is turned off, the spooler service continues to keep my computer awake unless I manually stop it.

Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box. Type services.msc and press Enter.
