New search bar on desktop in Windows 11
Booted up my desktop PC this morning at 6am and a new search bar appeared on the desktop (top right). It was enabled by default, and I've disabled it.
Has anyone noticed it? It is another pointless 'feature', if I want to search for anything I hit the Windows key and start typing.
Microsoft, stop adding all this worthless stuff (aka features) to Edge and Windows 11. Devote your time making your software work better, squash bugs!
As with many features introduced in Windows, user feedback plays a critical role. Some users appreciate having a persistent search option readily available on the desktop, while others find it redundant, especially since pressing the Windows key and typing is already an efficient method.

You mentioned you disabled the search bar, which is a good move if you find it unnecessary. Some users have reported similar steps to turn it off, typically by right-clicking on the desktop and accessing display or personalization settings.

It happened on my PC too. And I have to manually turn it off via settings.
