The most important thing remains: Keep the SD card unplugged until you are ready to run a recovery scan or Mac SD memory card recovery tool. Your chances of success are high if you haven't used the card since the deletion. Good luck
Sometimes, files aren't where we expect them to be. You are able to recover deleted photos without using any Mac SD memory card recovery tools.
- Check Mac Trash: It's a long shot, but if you deleted the photos by dragging them from the SD card to the Trash (instead of using Command+Delete), they might be in your Trash. Open the Trash from your Dock and look.
- Use Spotlight Search: Press Command + Spacebar and type the name of a specific photo you lost. See if it appears elsewhere on your Mac.
- Check Default Folders
Photos might be saved automatically in default folders such as:
Photos app Library.
Downloads folder.
Pictures folder.
Desktop. - Look in Cloud Services (if used)
If you have cloud backups like iCloud Photos, Google Photos, or Dropbox, check their apps or websites.
Your photos might be stored there.
