Need elevated command prompt

Windows 10 / PC -

- At the usual command prompt, this message:

 - "This command required administrative privileges and must be executed from an elevated command prompt.

 - I am the sole user of this PC and already have administration privileges.

 - Why does the command prompt not already recognize that?

 - So how do I get to the elevated command prompt?

Thank you / appreciated.

You may right click on the Command prompt and then click run as administrator.
For security reason, the Command prompt will run as standard user by default and you need to manually run it as administrator.

Doesn't do it.  However, thank you for your response.

Are you seeing the Run as administrator menu?
If yes, does it show any error when you run it?

    1. Search for Command Prompt: Type "Command Prompt" into the Windows search bar located on the taskbar.

    2. Run as Administrator: Right-click on "Command Prompt" in the search results, and then select "Run as administrator" from the context menu. This will open Command Prompt with elevated privileges.

    3. User Account Control (UAC) Prompt: If prompted by User Account Control (UAC), click "Yes" to confirm and allow Command Prompt to run with administrative privileges.

    4. Alternative Method: Another way to open an elevated Command Prompt is by using the "Run" dialog. Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog, then type cmd and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to run it as administrator.
