After a lot of searching on the web I found a thread that had the same issue. They suggested a hard re-boot i.e. pulling out the power cable. Being an IT man I thought what a stupid idea. However, I gave it a try. Guess what. It worked. It makes no sense at all but it worked.

Thank you for sharing, this is weird.
Sometimes this is due to internal electricity in the device but such issues happens less likely.
