If MiniToool Partition Wizard not working and you’re planning to do a big copy or move of files using Robocopy or similar tools, it’s generally pretty safe—as long as you're just copying files and not messing with partitions or formatting.
Here’s the scoop:
- If you’re only copying data files (like docs, videos, etc.), and not trying to change partitions or do anything that involves disk structure, the risk is low.
- But: If you try to use tools to resize, repartition, or clone your drive, and those tools are broken or not working, you could end up with a messed-up drive or data corruption.
In my own experience:
- I once had a similar situation where Disk Management or partition tools refused to work, but copying data with Robocopy was smooth sailing. I just made sure I was copying only files, not trying to do anything fancy with partitions.
- Always good to back up important stuff first, just in case, because unexpected errors can happen, especially if the drive is flaky.
When minitoool partition wizard not working, and if you’re only copying files, and your main concern is avoiding hang-ups or errors, using Robocopy or similar tools is safe.
Just keep an eye on the log afterward, and don’t try to mess with partitioning if the tools aren’t cooperating—they might cause more trouble.
