Large Hostfile in Windows 10?

I tried a large host fie, and the computer was far from happy. I reverted and did some investigation, and people talk of disabling the DNS Client service. however it can not be disabled, even after starting to min mode using msconfig.

And within MS Config. disabling the service had it turn itself back on when you press ok,

Can a large host fie be used? is there a way tio disable the DNS Client Service?
