Keyboard shortcuts quit working! Help!

From one day to the next the keyboard shortcuts on my laptop have stopped working.  I'm using Windows 10.  I remember this happened a few months ago.  It is very frustrating.  I've tried rebooting and have checked and my keyboard driver is up to date.
