Is Windows device management becoming more important than people realize?

A lot of companies still depend heavily on Windows laptops and desktops, especially in hybrid work setups.

But managing Windows devices at scale seems way more complicated now compared to a few years ago. Remote employees, BYOD, security updates, app access, compliance, and productivity all need attention.

I was talking with an IT admin friend recently and he said most of their daily work is no longer “fixing computers.” It’s managing devices remotely and making sure users stay productive without creating security risks.

Even schools and small businesses are starting to Windows MDM centrally now instead of handling everything manually.

Organizations often have hundreds or thousands of Windows laptops, desktops, tablets, and even smartphones. Devices are spread across different locations, networks, and security environments.
