Is it safe to remove registry entries located in "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\"?
I am currently deleting traces of a previous software program I removed. I am familiar with the concept of the registry and understand that errors within it have the potential to render my computer or operating system inoperable.
- Only remove registry entries that are specifically related to the software you uninstalled. If you see entries that clearly correspond to the application, it's generally safe to delete them. Avoid deleting entries if you are unsure of their function, as they may be related to other applications or system components.
