Is it « dangerous » to stay on windows 10?

Hello! My dad’s laptops and my mum’s PC doesn’t support windows 11. Since they’re both pretty old and not very cautious on internet I’m afraid about the end of windows 10 security support. I can advise my mom to upgrade her PC but my dad will need a new laptop… Thanks in advance !

  • If no new updates are installed to Windows 10, in case if you're not enrolled to Extended Security Updates, it's surely a risk to stay.

Upgrading to Windows 11 or getting a new Windows 11 device is highly recommended.

  • You can simply purchase a new device that supports Windows 11, or install third-party antivirus software on your old device and keep it up to date to maintain security.

Upgrading your mom's PC to a newer system is a good option. However, for your dad's laptop, a new one might be the best solution, especially if it's several years old. Newer laptops come with better security features, longer support periods, and improved performance.
