Is Anyone Still Experiencing the News Popup?

I disabled widgets in my Personalization > Taskbar settings, yet I am still receiving random "headline" notifications in the bottom right corner (which is quite bothersome). Could this be a technical issue? I assumed that disabling widgets would also prevent these notifications from appearing.

Although you've disabled widgets in the Personalization > Taskbar settings, Windows 10 might still be caching or persisting the widget settings, causing the notifications to appear. Try restarting your computer to see if this resolves the issue.

You might want to enable Focus Assist to limit notifications during certain hours. Go to Settings > System > Focus assist and set it up according to your preferences.

Ensure that you've correctly disabled widgets in the Personalization > Taskbar settings. You can also try restarting your computer or signing out and back in to apply the changes. The News app might be causing the issue. Try closing the News app or disabling it altogether. Pressing Win + R, typing ms-settings:news, and hitting Enter to open the News app settings. Switching off the toggle for "Get breaking news" under "Notifications."
