Internet speeds plummeted after the Windows 10 May Update, dropping from 1 Gbps to 100 Mbps
After updating to version 26200.8457 in May, my wired internet speed suddenly slowed down. When I ran a speed test with a Gigabit broadband connection, the download speed dropped to only around 100 Mbps. Everything was working fine with the April version; this issue only appeared after the update. Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

Hi Josew, when a wired connection drops from about 1 Gbps to about 100 Mbps, first check the link speed in Windows, not only a speed test. Go to the network adapter status and see whether it negotiated at 100 Mbps or 1.0 Gbps. If it shows 100 Mbps, try another Ethernet cable, another router/switch port, and reinstall the NIC driver from the PC or motherboard vendor. If it still negotiates at 100 Mbps after the update, disable power saving on the network adapter and test rolling back the driver.
