you're most likely on an old version of Windows 10 that reached end of life.
you can use this page to update if Windows update is failing.

I suggest to use the "Create Windows 10 installation media" in that page, make an ISO, then perform an in-place upgrade.

HotCakeX I also have the error message saying that Win 10 is reaching the end of its service. You mention making an ISO. What is that?

make a bootable DVD or Flash drive using the media creation tool:

and then use it to clean install Windows 10.
