I sold my computer but forgot to deactivate Windows(box)

A few years ago I bought Windows 10 home box version. I had Windows installed on a computer that I sold half a year ago and I didn't know that Windows had to be deactivated from the computer. Today...

drewny Explain the situation to Microsoft Support. They might be able to help you transfer the license to your new computer, especially if you can provide proof of purchase for the Windows 10 box copy. You can find contact information on the Microsoft website.
