HP 15 series, 2 gig laptops.
Well I have 2 generations of this laptop, Im working one.
5 year old AMD, with 2 gigs shared ram, and HDD.
2-3 year old Intel with shared ram, 2 gigs, and HDD.
The 2 Intel systems have Burned out the drives.
The AMD, Got over heated doing windows update. Didnt get past 256k DL, in about 10 hours. And the System got hot and crashed. It works, but has issue with windows update and "your device is missing important updates and drivers".
There are allot of Answers to "your device is missing important updates and drivers", And I wish MS would settle on 1.
These systems come in 2,4,8 gig. the Difference of the 2 gig to 4 gig, is about $100(dont ask me why) They still are selling this thing on the net. I WISH MS would **bleep** at HP about the Minimum requirements, because these systems DONT/CANT meet them without destroying themselves doing updates. There is a strange reason for this. THERE IS NO FAN CONTROL. Its built into the Bios and no way to control it. and it Isnt enough, as Iv seen, to keep things cool enough to Function.
Iv Updated the Older AMD, to 16 gigs, Dont know If I can do that to the Intel, as they need New Drive also, was thinking of SSD but dont know if there is controller to do SSD. And getting spec's for these is Pulling teeth from a gator and I dont have a tranq gun.
