Using the Windows built-in Reset feature is a convenient and way to wipe a Lenovo laptop and restore it to factory settings or a clean state. This feature is available in Windows 10 and Windows 11 and can be used to refresh or reset your system, effectively removing personal data, apps, and settings.

How to Wipe a Lenovo laptop:

1. Open Settings:

Press Windows key + I to open Settings.

2. Navigate to Recovery:

Go to Update & Security > Recovery.

3. Start Reset Process:

Under Reset this PC, click Get started.

4. Choose an Option:

Keep my files: Removes apps and settings but keeps your personal files.

Remove everything: Completely wipes a Lenovo laptop— ideal for a full wipe. 

5. Follow On-Screen Instructions:

Windows will prepare the reset process, which may take some time. 

6. Complete the Reset:

The laptop will restart and perform the reset, returning to a clean state or factory defaults depending on your choice.
