How to snip and paste on Windows 10 without keyboard shortcut?
I prefer using a mouse for taking screenshots, annotating, and pasting, so I’ve been using Flameshot—it offers a simple workflow. It allows you to take screenshots and paste them on Windows 10 without having to rely entirely on keyboard shortcuts.
Workflow:
- Install the software → Open the screenshot interface → Select an area with the mouse → Add annotations → Copy to the clipboard → Right-click and paste into another application.
How to snip and paste on Windows 10
Step 1: For more control, open Command Prompt or PowerShell and run the following command:
flameshot gui
Step 2: To launch the screenshot interface and copy the captured screenshot directly to the clipboard
flameshot gui --clipboard
Step 3: You can also specify a delay before capture
flameshot gui --delay 3000 --clipboard
delay 3000 adds a 3-second delay, while clipboard copies the captured image to the clipboard.
After selecting and editing the area, you can open another program, right-click, and select Paste. This provides an alternative method for taking screenshots and pasting them in Windows 10.
