Mouela If your device contains sensitive or confidential information (like business data, financial records, or personal information you want to ensure is unrecoverable), a factory reset alone may not be enough. Skilled individuals using data recovery software might still retrieve some files.
For extra security, especially if you're donating or selling the device to unknown parties, using tools like DBAN or Diskpart with the clean all command would be a better choice in order to permanently wipe Windows 10 hard drive. These methods perform a more thorough wipe by overwriting the drive multiple times, ensuring the data is permanently erased.
