How to erase hard drive on Windows 10 PC? Have you considered using the DiskPart ? Here are the steps:
- Search for cmd in the search bar, right-click on Command Prompt, and select Run as administrator.
- Type in diskpart and hit Enter. This will launch the DiskPart utility.
- Type list disk and hit Enter to see all your disks.
- Identify the disk you want to erase (let's say it's Disk 1). Type select disk 1 and hit Enter.
- Type clean all and hit Enter. This command will securely wipe your drive. Just relax while it does its thing; it can take a while depending on the size of your drive.
Warning: Be super careful with this command. It's like the 'delete everything' button, so make sure you've got the right disk selected!
