How to relink Windows system shortcuts to folders

Due to the original drive letter of the folder being changed, existing shortcuts have become invalid. When attempting to relink via “Browse,” only specific files within the folder can be selected; it is not possible to directly link to the folder itself.

Open File Explorer and navigate to the target folder you want the shortcut to point to.

Locate the broken shortcut (e.g., on your desktop).

Right-click and hold on the target folder.

While holding the right mouse button, drag the folder onto the broken shortcut.

Release the right mouse button. A small context menu will appear.

    Select "Create Shortcuts Here".
