How to find large files on mac to delete?
This is a little-known trick that works inside almost any app on your Mac.
Here are the step-by-step instructions for you find large files on Mac to delete.
1. Open any app that has an "Open" or "Save" dialog—for example, open TextEdit (it comes free on every Mac)
2. Click File > Open (or press Command + O)
3. In the window that appears, click the "Arrange" button (it looks like a little group of lines with dots)
4. Choose "Size" from the dropdown menu
5. The files will now be sorted from largest to smallest
6. You can browse through different folders by clicking them on the left side
Why this works: The Open/Save dialog is technically part of Finder, but it looks and feels different from a regular Finder window. Some people find it easier to use.
Downside: Before you find large files on Mac to delete. You have to manually click through each folder (Downloads, Documents, Desktop, etc.) to see what's inside. There's no way to scan your whole Mac at once.
